Detectives

The Waterford Police Department Detective Division is responsible for the investigations of serious felonies. The Detective Division works closely with the Patrol Division, Statewide Narcotic Task Force, Connecticut State’s Attorneys Office, and State Police Major Crime Squad. The members of the Division have many years of investigative experience and training, including graduates of the FBI National Academy.
In 1993-1994, the Waterford Police Department was recognized for having the highest percentage of recovered stolen property from crimes reported under the Uniform Crime Report in the State of Connecticut.

The Detective Division was cited by the International Association of Credit Card Fraud in 1995 for its outstanding contribution for solving fraudulent credit card schemes. They also instructed other agencies in the proper investigation of these crimes.
